As well as being able to stripe metallise,we are now able to pattern / print metallise in the vacuum chamber. This technology will be of interest in the Decorative and Security markets. Customer plates can be manufactured at a small cost to demonstrate the quality of the de-metallised images.

The process is excellent at producing high quality fine images. This is demonstrated in the first 3 images where a fine grid has been produced. Each image is produced at different magnifcation levels.

At the correct magnification, you can see four metallised "fuses" that are evident within the centre of each demetallised lane. This fine level of image will allow us to provide this technology for a range of security and counterfeit proof applications.

On initials trial we have been able to produce detailed lettering and text at varying sizes both in non metallised lettering and in metallised lettering. The edge definition of the fine text is superior to that using conventional demetallising processes.

Although unable to alter the colour of the deposit, we have been able to produce shade variations by altering the dot size on the plates which in turn gives variation in deposit density on the final image. The image to the indicates shade changes on the right side of the design.
