The company has continued to expand since 1995.In June 1998 a second metalliser was purchased from Valmet General which was installed alongside the first machine. This machine enabled metallising at widths up to 2050mm.The machine was installed and running by the end of November 1998.

In May 1999 due to the increase in Metallising capacity,a second slitter was ordered from Valmet Atlas. This machine was installed and commisioned in January 2000 enabling the metallisers to run at full capacity during 2000.

With the arrival of the new slitter,no more space in the original building was available for future expansion.A new building across the road was constructed to house any new production equipment. This was designed to accommodate two more metallisers and a slitter.

In November 2000,a narrow web speciality machine was installed in the new factory. This machine has the capability to run thin films as low as 2 micron. It also has the capability of stripe metallising and print/pattern metallising.A special process monitor also allows the coating of very thin layers for special applications.

In May 2000 a 2450mm metalliser with plasma treatment was ordered from Valmet General. This machine was installed and commissioned in March 2001 taking our total number of Metallising machines to four.

As an accumulation of 5 years investment and effort,Ultimet Films has emerged as one of the biggest independent Metallising companies in Europe. It is still our aim to provide an efficient and flexible turnaround for our growing number of customers. The success of the company is partly due to the understanding of the process and business by the three founder Directors, who initially for a number of years ran all the equipment themselves.
